Where is the Ríos Andinos base?

Rios Andinos Base is about 5 kms from Potrerillos, near Cordón del Plata mountain, 60 kms from Mendoza center and 50 kms from Uspallata, now a famous village (do you remember the movie “Seven years in Tibet” ?). It’s a wonderfull and unique place in its type to portly the adventure activities in Mendoza River.

Can I buy an adventure excursion only?

Yes you can, because we welcome visitors from many places and that’s the reason we form a group of new people.

What should I bring for a day in the Rios Andinos Base?

A sun screeen, extra set of clothes, swim suit, trousers, hat (the sun is very strong), towel, I.D., sunglasses, water shoes, wind breaker.

What services can I find in the Rios Andinos Base?

Moreover, all the adventure services, in the Resto-Bar you can find a great variety of Argentinian and Gourmet food, mendocinian wines and cakes. Digital photographs, Dj set on Saturday and Sunday from 5 pm., a small swimming pool directly on the Mendoza River, sun chairs, hot showers and every month the famous Full Moon Party.

What kind of risk can I find in these activities?

Every sport activity involves some risk factor. We can minimize these risks by both strictly enforcing security rules and by following the instructions of the professional guides.

When can my children start this kind of practice?

These activities could start from 6 /8 years , depending on your child’s experience with risk activities.

Will I get wet going down the Mendoza River?

Yes you will ! we suggest you bring an extra set of clothes.

Does Ríos Andinos have insurance?

Yes, all the adventure activities have full coverage.

What happens if I get hurt during the sport activities?

We have medical aid on 24 hours a day. If the injury is serious we bring you to the Central Hospital in Mendoza.

What does transfer mean?

It means we take care of your transportation from Mendoza town to our Base in Potrerillos and return. Internal transportation in the mix programs (ex. Rafting + Horse-riding) is also included.

Do I need experience for the Rafting activities?

You don’t need experience for the I, II, III class (Family Rafting, Rios Andinos Rafting, Gutierrez, Rafting in winter) activities.

What are the conditions under which these activities would be suspended ?

The danger to security conditions would be the only reason we would suspend the activities (ex. weather or river conditions).

What can I do if my children are too young for these activities?

Rios Andinos can arrange a baby-sitter service. Please call us before. In this way you can enjoy your day in the Andes Mountains.

How do I set up an excursion?

You can make your reservation by e-mail or by phone. You must pay in our office or directly in our Base in Potrelillos. We accept pesos, euro, dollars y travellers checks.
